Our mission at Shining Star Christian Schools is to ignite students’ love for learning and their Savior, and lead them to shine at school, home, in the world, and for all eternity.
Our Vision
At Shining Star Christian Schools, our vision is to ensure that every child has access to a Christ-centered, high-quality education—regardless of location, staffing challenges, or financial barriers.
Since our founding, we have worked to bring life back to underutilized Christian school buildings in Milwaukee, restoring them as vibrant centers of learning and faith.
Today, that vision is expanding beyond individual campuses to address a broader challenge facing schools across Wisconsin and beyond.
A New Model for Sustainable Christian Education
Across the country, schools are facing growing challenges—declining enrollment, rising costs, and a shortage of qualified teachers. The traditional model—where every school operates as a fully self-contained system—is becoming increasingly difficult to sustain.
At Shining Star, we are building a new approach.
Through a shared learning model, we connect students, teachers, and classrooms across multiple locations—combining the strength of in-person community with the reach of high-quality, technology-enabled instruction.
This model allows schools to:
- Remain open and financially sustainable
- Provide access to strong, certified teachers across subjects
- Expand opportunities for students without increasing costs
From Vision to Reality
This model is already at work.
Through our shared learning and virtual programs, students across campuses and communities are learning together, supported by dedicated teachers and on-site staff.
At campuses like St. Philips, we have seen how this approach can not only sustain a school—but bring it back to life.
