Shining Star students have access to small group instruction that results in a personalized learning environment, keeping them engaged and involved in their own learning:
- Teacher Group Instruction – Lead Teachers provide direct instruction to a group of 18 or fewer students.
- Individualized Online Learning – Students learn at their own pace, receiving immediate feedback, and taking more ownership of their educational progress. Online digital content addresses individual student needs, ensuring that students are neither held back nor left behind.
- Guided Intervention – Trained Instructors provide additional support through remediation or accelerations of skills in small groups of 6-8 students.
Shining Star schools are small, community schools. This limited size guarantees the availability of the personalized attention, both academic and personal, that students need to do their best. The overall instructor-to-student ratio is 1:15-18.
